Chicken farming in Sierra Leone
Fair Poultry is participating in a project in collaboration with Wageningen University that runs over several years and will study the possibilities how to keep chickens in one of the poorest regions of Sierra Leone. An area in which food safety is still unbalanced and both climate and disease are having a great impact on poultry production.
Nevertheless, there are possibilities for supporting local, small-scale production units due to a previous successful sustainable energy project. Fair Poultry supports this project and provides technical and veterinary knowledge.
